Yorkshire Wife's Sod Recipe |

large eggs |

oatcakes |
| 1½
pints milk |
butter |

| Beat
the egg for 2 minutes. Add the milk, and season. Mix well. Grease
a baking pan with butter and pour in the mix. Break up the oatcakes
into half inch pieces, then sprinkle on top of the 'sod'. Add
small pieces of butter and bake for 20 minutes in a moderate
oven. This is even nicer if the oatcakes are already toasted
and buttered. |
