teaspoon bicarbonate of soda |
| Cream
the butter and sugar, add the beaten eggs, then the warmed syrup.
Add the fruit, the the flour, alternating with milk in which
the biocarbonate of soda has been dissolved. Pour into 2 large,
greased loaf tins, and bake in a moderate oven for 1½
hours. This cake improves with keeping. |
