Sledmere Gingerbread Recipe |

ground ginger |

| Melt
the butter, sugar and treacle over a low heat. Beat the eggs
and stir in the melted ingredients. Add the ginger and bicarbonate
of soda, then mix all into the flour. Bake in a cool oven for
45 minutes. |
