Apple Tartlets
Ilkley Cake Recipe
 
 
Ingredients
1lb plain flour 4oz raisins
¾oz baking powder 8oz currants
½ teaspoon salt 2oz candied peel
1 teaspoon mixed spice 12oz brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg Milk to mix
4oz dripping  
Instructions
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and spices. Rub in the dripping. Add the fruit and sugar and mix with milk to a dropping consistency. Turn into a greased 9 inch cake tin. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 2 hours.
