Yorkshire Brandy Snaps Recipe |

level teaspoon ground ginger |
| 2oz
sugar |

teaspoon brandy |

tablespoons golden syrup |

teaspoon grated lemon rind |

| Melt
the fat, sugar and syrup in a pan. Remove from the heat and
add the other ingredients. Mix well. Drop teaspoonfuls of the
mixture onto a greased baking sheet, about 3 inches apart. Bake
for 7 to 10 minutes in a moderate oven. Remove the sheet from
the oven and let it stand for a moment on the top of the stove
until a biscuit will life up when a knife is inserted underneath.
Roll the biscuits one at a time round the handle of a wooden
spoon, leave a moment to set, then slide off. |
